Justin Bieber decided to go ahead and perform at his charity concert event on Saturday night, despite his sick girlfriend Selena Gomez. Gomez has been in and out of the hospital since her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last Thursday night, and Bieber has publicly shown his support through Twitter posts and canceled appearances.

But Bieber's charity show at Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California was one thing he did not cancel. After all, tickets were sold for $250 and up to $1,500 to benefit a good cause: College Track, a program for students who need positive academic direction. Although the event was smaller than most of the sold-out stadiums to which the Biebs is accustomed, the nature of the cause apparently made it all worth it to the 17-year-old pop sensation who also did a personal meet-and-greet with 120 guests and had dinner with a very lucky 13.

But, Justin Bieber wasn't the only star of the show. Rapper MC Hammer was also there and it seems he and Bieber got along splendidly. Talk about an odd couple!

Bravo to Justin Bieber who is definitely setting a good example by taking time out of his busy schedule to help raise money for charity and to promote education. Plus, he is still playing the good boyfriend card. Remember, he did not go to the Stanley Cup finals hockey game on Friday night, most likely because of Selena Gomez's hospitalization.

He probably knew that Gomez would surely not want him to disappoint fans and the charity by missing the benefit concert. This was one show that definitely had to go on!

Please provide details below to help Gather review this content.
