Justin Bieber-Selena Gomez Romance Doomed to Break Up, Says Public Opinion Poll - Gather Celebs News Channel

<div readability="99.5952782462"> <p>Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's romance is doomed. Their love was never meant to be, and it will not last. Or so says public opinion according to a recent poll.<br/><br/><img src="http://ts2.mm.bing.net/images/thumbnail.aspx?q=1019073072437&amp;id=627488cc7207e775f833b93cee95f380&amp;url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.thenewsalerts.com%2fshow_image_NpAdvMainFea.php%3ffilename%3d%2f2011%2f05%2fSelena-Gomez-receives-death-threats-Justin-Bieber.jpg%26cat%3d1%26pid%3d4309%26cache%3dfalse" class="sg_t"/>According to a recent ongoing Hollywood Life poll, most people of both genders "are disgusted by Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's flowering relationship," and they want it to end.</p><p>"Disgusted" is a harsh word--especially when used to describe a reaction to someone else's relationship(s). Nevertheless, the poll respondents' exaggerated reactions to Jelena made "disgusting" seem like the appropriate adjective. And that reaction wasn't limited to jealous beliebers. Presumably the respondents included Bieber fever acolytes, Selena Gomez fans, and plain old celebrity watchers.</p><p>Some replies were polite, but still negative.</p><p>"I love Selena Gomez," wrote one. "... and I love Justin Bieber, but when you put them together… not so much…</p><p>Others, showed the misogyny of the Selena Gomez haters.</p><p>"I'm like super upset…I can't believe he actually likes that sneaky little cougar. Come on people, wake up! She's just so manipulative and fake…she's only dated people that were more famous and successful than her while they were dating (Nick Jonas, Taylor Lautner…). Justin please date any-freakin'-body but her..."</p><p>Many Selena Gomez fans' replies mirrored those of the crazy beliebers.</p><p>"Bieber u stole my girl," raved one. "...and I will do like they kill Osama and shoot u in the head and bury u at sea!!!! Selena Gomez fan 4life. Bieber killer in the house!!!!!!"</p><p>Others who seemingly had little emotion invested in JB or the <em>Monte Carlo</em> star nevertheless disapproved of the romance on general principle.</p><p>"...i like Justin and i like Selena, but i do not like them together," explained one. "... I just think there wrong together! They're just…too much. Meeting each others parents? Missing jazmines bday? Going on vacation? At only five months? And we all know what they were doing on that vacation. It's too much. They're too physical. And i love selena, but she does jump from guy to guy."</p><p>Lighten up, people. They're just two teenagers in love--not public enemies #1 and 2.</p><p>Instead of: "Are Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez 'meant to be'?," perhaps the question should be: Why do people cathect such raw emotion into Selena and the Biebs? Sure, they're a celebrity couple whose male partner is an <em>uber</em> teen heart-throb, but then so are Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Yet, nobody sends <em>them</em> death threats or insists they should split up. Could it be the green-eyed monster at work? Maybe that's why some people are upset by Jelena's PDA. Perhaps they're jealous of a happiness they've never had, and probably never will.</p><p>You can click here to take the poll.
