If there’s anyone who knows what Justin Bieber looks for in a lady, it’s his best female friend,Jessica Jarrell. Jessica is currently rocking out with the Biebs on his My World 2.0 tour as one of his opening acts, and stopped into the West Coast office of HollywoodLife.com to tell us the key to the teen singing sensation’s heart!
“If you ever meet him, smile. He loves smiles. He loves a girl’s smile,” Jessica said, adding, [Also]. be yourself. However you are, just be that way. Don’t be someone you’ve not.”
Justin, 16, and Jessica, 15, met while shooting the Nickelodeon film, School Gyrl. Justin’s manager suggested the talented teens join forces and sing a duet, and the rest is history.
Now BFFs, Justin and Jessica sing the song ‘Overboard‘ (which you can hear on JB’s My World 2.0 album) and are traveling throughout North America together for more than three months. But despite how close the two are, don’t expect their friendship to turn into more any time soon.
Jessica is quick to tell us she and Justin are strictly friends.
“No, no. Never. Absolutely not!” she reassured us, laughing, “We’ve been best friends for a year and a half and I want to keep it that way.”
Discovered after a school Christmas play when she was only 11-years-old, Jessica co-wrote most of her debut album with “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “If I Were A Boy” producer Toby Gad and had her first opportunity to perform professionally this year at the Obama family’s White House Easter Egg Roll. Jessica’s first major single, “Armageddon,” shot up the charts and was a Top 5 Billboard dance hit.
